What's your 2025 Word of the Year?
This is mine -> Kaleidoscope.
I know, I know, I know -- this word is so atypical, in a way. It's unlike any of my other words, and it feels slightly obscure. But, I've been in the process of really listening to my soul and trusting my intuition, and there was a day about six weeks ago when I attended a breathwork session, and in the middle, I knew -- this is my word.
I've been pondering "why" this word is the word for six weeks. It came to me during a breathwork session. As I inhaled, exhaled, and held, I let my spirit wonder about its significance. I've also been tempted to shift it because it felt so strange. And then it hit me—a kaleidoscope is the same and yet shifting, adapting, and changing.
It needs light, and patterns evolve and change to create beauty.
Light, sacred light.
For most of my life, there has been an element of rigidity to me. I hold myself to strict goals and get frustrated when I get off track. In fact, if I get off track even one day, I tend to disregard all my progress until that day. I've realized I want the flexibility and the strength to see the process, not just the result. I want the flexibility to make the micro shifts and to trust the process. I want the flexibility to trust the process, and instead of needing everything perfect to start, I want to dare to start moving, creating, and doing.
I don't want to rush through everything.
I want to experience life.
Here's the cool thing: A kaleidoscope always has the same components at its core, yet when you shift it, beautiful perspectives, images, and patterns are created.
That's life.
Moving, adapting, creating, pausing, celebrating your story, loving, and showing up for others. It’s micro-shifts and seeing the world differently.
It’s being willing to shift and embracing the flow and the rhythm of life.
Ultimately, it's about balancing, not balance.
It's about creating.
It's about adapting.
It's about seeing.
It's about loving what was and being excited about what will be.
It's about the now.
It's about discovering.
It's about possibilities.
So yeah, that's why kaleidoscope is my word for 2025.
I would love to hear yours.

This week is about setting intentions and cultivating a transformative mindset. One way to start is by choosing a word for the year.
